Take Day-To-Night Wear To The Next Level With Double Duty Clothes

Hustle all day, sleep all night.

While we love watching lifestyle vloggers show us their nighttime beauty routines (like applying a soothing, anti-aging cranberry mask followed by a session of pre-bed video gaming), let’s be honest: when it comes to getting un-ready after a long day, most of us just want to collapse into our beds. But instead of burrowing immediately under the covers, we lay on top of them scrolling through Instagram because we’re too tired to take off our makeup and wiggle out of our jeans.

We’re not going to promote falling asleep with your mascara and foundation on – that’s why we keep our makeup wipes on the nightstand – but when it comes to our clothes, blurring the line between day and nightwear has never been more fashion-forward. From the rise of the pyjama-separates-as-outerwear trend to luxe loungewear, we’re seeing more and more pieces that are just as chic when worn outside as they are comfy when it's time to get our beauty sleep.

So what type of garments should you go for when you’d like to go about your day in style while remaining in maximum, might-as-well-be-in-my-PJs comfort? We love the traditional contrast-piping pyjama set, but why limit yourself! A stylish t-shirt dress, roomy jumpsuit, soft-as-a-feather knit or flowing trousers will also do the trick.

Not only are these pieces perfect for the temperamental weather that’s beginning to hit as we move further away from the summer solstice, all you have to do before diving under your sheets after a long day is to liberate yourself of that bra.

Whether you’re getting home in a sleepy stupor or popping out in morning to buy some ingredients for a homemade brunch, these comfy-chic clothes are perfect under the sheets or on the streets – no outfit change required:
