We're gonna paint the town red.

Milan Fashion Week was nothing short of a fashion frenzy, with six days of total glam put forth by the industry's finest. Throughout the week, we saw the expected display of fierce color complimented by expressive pieces and architectural innovation (enter: Jil Sander). The runway also transformed into a space for political expression, and while the clothes and accessories made for a stand-out season, we were just as inspired to see Muslim model Halima Aden rocking it on the catwalk. This was one MFW that really caught our attention.

There were also recurring trends that we couldn't take our eyes off, such as the fur trimmings that completed some of our favorite looks, like coat lapels and purse handles. And in case you haven't heard, red was, without a doubt, the color — according to, well, everyone. But we also noticed a few trends that carry the magic of Milan, some of which we just can’t wait to start wearing.

Check out 4 trends from MFW we can’t wait to get in our closets immediately:

Black, treated materials that popped up across MFW have us rethinking the way we'll be wearing this classic color come fall. The Ricostru runway was dominated by PVC-type materials, which really stood out as a way to give any basic black piece a boost. Our prediction that these shiny materials will be one of next season's biggest trends was confirmed when we spotted similar looks by Giorgio Armani and Versace.

Nothing says luxe like a bit of fur, and fashion's biggest players are encouraging you to get in touch with your inner diva with details like fur sleeves, luxurious lapels and fur-lined hoods. While Prada went with fuzzy belts, purse handles and handbags, Daizy Shely showed a dazzling, colorful collection full of fur-trimmed coats that were straight-up dreamy.

The ever-so-popular lace-up trend that has dominated every fashion girl's closet since the summer has now found its way back to its birth place: the shoe. We spotted laces on the feet of models at Giorgio Armani and Versace, reminding us that this trendy detail can still be cool for your feet. And with designers playing with color and shape, like the ones we saw at Versace, you can be sure that this detail will be anything but subtle for your autumn shoe.

When you think bold, you think red. It's a color synonymous with confidence. It's your go-to for a sexy lip. It's that Cannes dress worn by Bella Hadid. And now, it's the color that was splashed across the Milan FW17 runways, officially making it the must-have hue for fall. We went nuts over Kendall Jenner's appearance in a funky, all-red ensemble at Fendi, and Gigi Hadid's monochromatic look at Max Mara was equally as extreme. Whether you want to start flirting with fashion's favorite color or plan to go all-in with a head-to-toe look, be sure to go rouge for fall.
