London Street Style: Locals Reveal Their Favorite Places To Shop

From Shoreditch to Soho in the Big Smoke.

When you live in Paris, you get used to a certain kind of outfit: polished, elegant, never too out-there or over-the-top. But the reign of French-girl style means that we often give less attention to the world's other style capitals: everywhere from Milan to Shanghai. If you're a Parisian craving exposure to fresh fashion inspiration, Tokyo is a transcontinental flight away – but you can travel to London in the timespan of a two-hour nap (or an engrossing train read).

This week, instead of taking to the streets of our hometown of Paris, we headed across the English Channel to pay a visit to Europe's other – and as it turns out, drastically different – fashion capital. From the graffiti-emblazoned walls of Shoreditch to the posh, flower-lined streets of Soho, we photographed London's most stylish inhabitants, and asked them to reveal their favorite shopping haunts as well as what they love about their city's style.

Looking for British sartorial inspiration or insider shopping tips for your upcoming trip to the Big Smoke? These fashion-forward Londoners have everything you need right here:
