The triple bun look isn't just for rebel warriors.

Though we first fell in love with the hairstyle when Daisy Ridley (AKA Rey), debuted the look in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a few of our fave celebs have been spotted rocking it in recent weeks.

Most notably, Emma Watson was seen with the Star Wars-inspired 'do while on her Beauty and the Beast press tour in Paris last month. We couldn't take our eyes off her edgy double bun – even though she'd paired it with a stunning environmentally-conscious, custom-made black and violet Louis Vuitton gown.

No fewer than two days later, Katy Perry rocked up to the Brit Awards red carpet with a similar-looking hairstyle, this time with upwards of five buns on top of her head. It was the perfect futuristic look she needed to balance out her jazzy beaded pink blazer and mini dress combo.

Ever since we saw Ridley's triple bun look in Star Wars, we've been curious to try it out for ourselves, and seeing Perry and Watson pulling it off has given us all the encouragement we need to give it a go. And besides, according to our research, the look can be achieved in five simple steps – all you need is a brush and hair ties.

Here's all the inspiration you need to try this look for yourself, scroll down for our step-by-step tutorial to get you looking like a rebel warrior in no time:

1. Brush out your hair to get rid of any tangles.
2. Take the top third of your hair and pull it into a ponytail. On the last loop, only pull it halfway through to achieve a floppy bun look.
3. Repeat Step 2 with the middle third of your hair.
4. Before creating the third bun, take out a few strands of hair from around your ears to give that messy look that Daisy Ridley perfected in the film.
5. With the remainder of your hair, create a third bun at the base of your head. This bun will have excess hair sticking out at the bottom, so we recommend securing it with a bobby pin.
Tip: After securing each bun with an elastic, wrap a small strand of hair around the elastic and tuck it in so the elastic is no longer visible.
