The house teamed up with photographer and regular collaborator Petra Collins and art director Christopher Simmonds, who brought back the retro sunglasses trend for a disco-themed campaign inspired by dance hall and soul discos where club goers dress up and experiment with new makeup. In line with the Pre-Fall '17 campaign which centered around the Northern Soul Movement in England in the '60s and '70s, the campaign is filled with neon lights and the vibrant attitude of a diverse cast of models who are about to get down and dance the night away.
Of course, the focus is on the makeup, which is a fun collection of nudes and cool shades to play around with and stand out from the crowd on a night out. For lips, you can't go wrong with a subtle shade in a matte finish, but if you want to take it up a notch, make them orchid purple or vivid red. Get experimental with your eyes by adding bright colors that are sure to make your pupils pop when the disco lights flash on your face. And, since you will be dancing like no one's watching (but secretly really hoping everyone's watching), keep your skin intact with a matte-finish foundation and a dusting of powder to avoid that Kim Kardashian sheen.
Add a bedazzling glitter gloss to your nails that will amp up the drama without stealing any attention from your makeup. Get that Gucci look by finishing the look off with a pair of fancy, sparkly sunglasses – yes, even indoors – and chunky jewels to rival your own eyes.
Bold, unconventional shades define the #GucciBeauty Fall Winter 2017 color collection. Shot by @petrafcollins and art directed by @christophersimmonds, the campaign is inspired by the dance halls of disco and soul, where club goers dressed up and experimented with new makeup looks. #AlessandroMichele Discover the collection through link in bio.
