Give Your Home A Fashion Week Finish With This Designer Decor

Dress up your duvet.

share with your friends
When you love a brand so much but there are only so many of their clothes you can wear at once, it can be frustrating. Sure, you can wear entirely different head-to-toe looks picked out from their latest collections every day, but sometimes, it’s just. not. enough. Thankfully, many designers have realized this problem, and branched out into homeware ranges, meaning you can dress your bedroom, living room and bathroom in your favorite brands, too.

Certain labels, like Fendi and Armani, take it very seriously and offer super luxurious furniture that reflects the fashion houses’ aesthetics (i.e. sleek, contemporary… Italian). Others make more accessible collections of cushions, bed linens and towels in fun fabrics and motifs that will make your bath mat instantly recognizable as designer goods.

To celebrate the fact that – at long last – Alessandro Michele has joined the list of fashion-turned-homeware designers with an aptly kooky collection for Gucci, we’ve pulled together a selection of our favorite haute homewares to inspire you to dress your home up to the nines this fall.

Check out our favorite interior design collections from top fashion houses, and scroll down to shop our affordable selection of high street lookalikes:

Gucci

Is there anything Alessandro can’t do? His signature aesthetic of antiqueshop grandma motifs and decadent vintage-style details translates perfectly to his first ever collection of homewares for the Italian house. It has everything from candles to cushions, dining rom tables to wallpaper – because who doesn't need a room of their apartment plastered with tessellating tiger faces?

Versace

Versace’s home collection currently offers five ranges, and two of them have the word “baroque” in the title. No word could better describe the gold-trimmed, 100% cotton sheets, the gilded coffee pots, the polished pillows – basically, there’s a helluva lot of gold going on, and we love it. To see it in its full, over-the-top-is-not-enough glory, take a look at the Palazzo Versace in Dubai: some of the walls are actually coated in gold leaf and, of course, all the interiors were designed by Donatella herself.

paul smith

There’s something very endearing about Paul Smith’s approach to design: it’s humble but sharp, offbeat but always on trend. In particular, we’re impressed by how he’s managed to make a slightly off-color rainbow his signature pattern, and it looks just as good as a rug as it does in the lining of a trench coat. We are also big fans of his recent collaboration with the equally iconic brand Anglepoise, who share a certain retro quality with the British designer.

missoni

Every Milan Fashion Week we get a warm sense of joy in our stomachs knowing that Missoni’s statement chevron knits are about to inject a bit of fun – but grown-up – color and pattern into the scene. What could be better than waking up to the same feeling every day in a zig-zag duvet set?
