Learn How To Colorblock The High-Fashion Way

According to Tibi.

Before the Tibi show had even begun at New York Fashion Week, expectations for a colorful collection were high – the label had been dropping hints of color swatches on Insta in the run-up that had everyone excited. Mint green and lavender, hot pink and burnt orange, mustard and aquamarine: they’re the kind of off-beat color-pairings that get the fashion set competitive with their experimenting.

So you can imagine everyone’s delight when the models began stepping out on the runway in bold maxi dresses finished with powerful, contrasting kicks of color. The real winner of the show was a glittering green dress that was styled with coordinating leggings and a pair of Barbie pink, velvet glove shoes. Yes. Please.

Despite it officially being a fall collection, it’s got us in the mood to shake away the winter blues and try rocking a colorblocked look with the same panache – besides, if we start practicing now, we’ll be pros by the time the Tibi collection actually hits stores.

So we’ve set to work on bringing together some of the boldest pieces from recent collections to brighten up your transitional closet and get you in the mood for spring. Electric blue and magenta have already staked their claim as SS17’s biggest (not to mention brightest) colors, but we’re also loving green, yellow and orange accents, so why not wear them all together?
