Paris is bolder than ever.

September Fashion Week has finally drawn to a close across the major capitals, with some stunning moments from each unique set of shows.

As home to some of the most respected, established names in the industry, Paris is always sure to present a mixture of traditional and seriously cool, calm and collected collections. While we certainly saw the expected amount of razor-sharp looks in the form of Saint Laurent suits and romantic gowns aplenty, there were a few details in particular that caught us off-guard really grabbed our attention.

Among them were some key looks that we don’t need to wait until the next sartorial season to style. We’ve picked out our top four tropes from Paris' SS18 shows that you can start styling straight away.

Check out our 4 favorite trends from PFW that you can incorporate into your closet immediately:

the fringes of fashion

It looks as though designers from around the world have all agreed that SS18 style needs some serious statement detailing. Taking London’s fetish for feathers a step further, Paris Fashion Week was all about fringing – whether it’s on the hem of a Chanel short or decoratively clustered on a Céline coat.

off-kilter cut-outs

The cut-outs we saw on the SS18 runways were seriously seductive, making appearances (or, rather, a lack thereof) on structured evening dresses and cooler-than-thou bodysuits. If you love showing off a bit of skin and are feeling bitter about having to pack away your summer crop tops, a small but certain geometric cut-out is a winner for winter. If it’s really biting outside, consider the layering potential!

all-over prints

We are obsessed with Balenciaga’s sunrise pants. The stretched out print creates a beautifully balanced palette for you to riff on with the rest of your outfit. This look can simultaneously work as a statement piece and a well-worked-in focal point to a tonal outfit.

blushing hard

There is no denying that ‘80s fashion is back. We saw cautious iterations of this bold throwback beauty look last season, but it’s set to take off as a major trend next spring. The only rule is: don’t hold back. Take inspiration from Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty range and experiment with offbeat colors like sparkling yellow or purple for a doubly eye-catching finish, and make like a Valentino model and blend your eyeshadow into your cheekbone detail for a contemporary spin on the style.
